I use a wired cyclocomputer that rarely needs a new battery (Years?) and tracks every mile I ride. That way I never have to turn my phone or an app on. But that is for my style of riding: a mile here, 3 miles there, I rarely ride more than 10 at a time. I am an AtoB cyclist and can’t be bothered

In my family biking experience, I will expect you to have an easier time with her up front than in the back. I find that a kid in the back affects the ride MUCH more than a kid up front. My current family is the stoutest of stout Workcycles Fr8 and I have the kid saddle mounted on the downtube.
