I'll bet they've never heard this contrastive crotch color conundrum before. Someone on the design team thought it was a good idea and it went forward. With this feedback I bet the next batch won't have that!
And let's hope there is a next batch. The only "problem" with the MUSA shorts I have (dark blue early style with same color crotch and grey newer style with blue crotch) is that they last so long.
