works great. I have the Busch and Mueller IQ X paired with it for plenty of
brightness.

“Stare at components and accessories I’d like to try”
That’s pretty much why I have ended up with four Rivendells - Appaloosa,
Cheviot, Roadini, Clem L :)

That is a lovely setup, Bones. My Roadini has a dirt drop stem and Nitto
noodles with the IRD stem mount shifter clamp and Silver shifters.
Currently has the Silver wide low double and an 11-28 cassette.

Surlyprof, thanks for the mention of 2 pockets. I had gotten the earlier
one with the inner toggle, and when the second one I bought came with a
flap instead, I never thought to look under it for a pocket.
Speaking of things I didn’t know, I discarded the Coroplast stiffener out
of my first on
Eamon, on Instagram last week when Will’s new Susie was pictured, in the
comment there was a summary of ETA’s on frames, snipped from the
newsletter.
When someone asked about any plans for the Roadini he said “Not in the
foreseeable future. Of course, that does not mean “forever.”
On Friday,
Looks lovely. Will you use a chain keeper with the Altus?
I am planning a Roadini 1x with an Altus rear derailleur and a Wolf Tooth
Components dropstop chainring, which I hope will be sufficient. I am
putting the chainring in the middle position with a Riv Silver bashguard on
the outer slot.
Leah, I have said it before, but I am so sorry about yor Dad.
Congratulations on a great achievement and I am glad a Rivendell bike has
helped you this year. Here’s to many more miles of cycling enjoyment.

I did the first option Laing suggests - had the bike shop lace a Kasai
dynacoil into the Alex rim that came with my Appaloosa. 36 spoke 3 cross
with labor and new spokes came to $100, plus the dynamo purchase. That is
in Los Angeles so labor cost would probably be lower elsewhere.
I have a set
