Frames look small without the wheels and bars. Especially one without a top
tube. Pretty easy to measure and make sure though.

I have had good luck using the release on Tektro brakes with the CX-70. Not

The midge bars are great with bar-end shifters. You just need to be careful
since the bars have so much flare - they tend to bump into things. But the
shifters give a little extra room for your hands in the drops.

Just took some measurements. I think those struts are too short. I think you
need more like 160-180 depending on the bike.
I was thinking about trying this on one of my bikes and then gave up. Went with
p-clamps instead.

On my wife's Betty Foy I put a 40/26 + chain ring guard on a used XD2 crank
that I had picked up from someone here. Works great with a wide cassette -
I used the 12-36 HG61.
