Guess it depends on the trails. There are some around here where I can ride my SO. Others are tracks so deep the cranks hit the sides and with enough fall-offs that I'd prefer wider tires and some sort of shock. In fact, many of the trails in Minnesota now seem to be maintained/modified specific
