I have Longboards and Tektro Silver (not sure what "R" number those equate to)
brakes on my orange Ram, and it works great with 28m Paselas. I've also put on
32mm Schwalbe Marathons for a trip on the C&O Towpath, which worked fine too.
The Schwalbes seemed a little tight, but I had no problems

I use the older Shimano calipers, earlier than Longboard SKS fenders and
stick with 28 tires. I guess I could get the Tektro calipers, switch to
metal fenders and try 32s. Two observations about that; first is that
hair-splittingly close fenders will mysteriously begin rubbing the tire

I'll definitely be at garage sale. Jim, what type of ride were you thinking
about doing afterwards?

Hi Ryan,
I have a Blue Ram and after switching to Tektro 559s I use the SKS
longboards with Panaracer Pasela 35mm tires. The front has very tight
clearance but I got it to work. I also use the Sheldon fender nuts and I
think that helps by moving the fender back a few centimeters.

Both the Readers and the Bridgestone catalogues are now SOLD!

Congrats on the purchase Richard It was great meeting you and I'll miss
that bike! I have since purchased a 58cm Hunq frame with the bean/grey

The heaviest items I carry in my Saddlesack Small are my U-Lock, and my

I live in LaCrescent, MN and agree, there are some great bicycling roads,
paved and gravel, in Houston County. Worth considering.

Hello all. Posted my Saluki last month and received alot of responses but

The Ram is ready to ramble.
I added a Mark's rack on front with an Acorn mini-Rando bag, SKS longboard
fenders and swapped out my rear derailer for an XT mountain RD and added a
wide mountain cassette for my wheel.

Yo
Hillbubba revealed a modification of the Grip King pedals on this list a while
back, and a few lucky folks got the early batch of prototypes. I was one, and
finally modified the Grip Kings that came on my Mystery Bike over the weekend.
The mod makes an already great pedal well nigh perfect. F
I agree, I have about a thousand miles on the modded grip kings and they rock.
Much more stable.

Andy, your Saddlesack looks smart on that bike...mine looks very
similar.
One of my frequent purchases is a c. 3-foot long loaf of Italian
bread. On my old Little Joe bag, I could rig it up using the two
leather straps, but the single strap of the Saddlesack called for a
different solution. I us
No issues with the rack and bag. I carry the heavy tools etc. in the
saddlebag and put clothes/food in the front. As a disclaimer, I am pretty
impervious to minor handling differences because I ride tandems and

What was a surprise was what I found when I took the tire off. The no
