Rob,
Actually, from your picture, your rings don't appear that worn. The
different heights of the teeth is a function of the indexed shifting,
not wear. A worn ring will exhibit an elongated valley area, usually
also with a sloped surface on the tension side of the ring. Your

All,
I thought I'd mention that everything in my shop is on sale and I am offering
free shipping on everything with the exception of the bikes. There are a few
L/XL Walz wool caps available and one or two S/M cotton Walz caps. Also jerseys
and wind vests for those not newfangled material-avers

For an interesting perspective on making a bike related video, I
thought this was very good. Changing the POV, some scripting, adding
sound and editing really makes the video really worth watching. In

I have a really big Crescent wrench I use as "calipers" to measure
tire width, then measure the jaws' opening with a mm ruler.

Whoa, every detail is stunning!
But I had to giggle at one of the images of the beautiful red and
white panniers --at first glance, from the back, the white laces on
red canvas looks just like the top of a Converse All-star tennis shoe.

Jan answered this question, perhaps on the iBoblist. They are a very

Yeah that's good one.
I use crazedlist to create a list of RSS feeds that I then import into a
reader.
Works a bit better than inside a webpage, and doesn't break b/c it just
recreates CL's regular RSS for you.

I really have a hard time rationalizing spending the extra money on the
compass tires.

Sorry to be confusing. No I haven't ridden the compassessess.
I do have Hetres on my Lyon camping bike. Also very nice tires.

Nothing is as good as Jaxed, especially as they had the pictures which let

So finally have the funds and approval from the wife to go ahead and
buy a new riv frameset only really cannot decide which one. I was
leaning towards the Hillborne but now looking at the Atlantis I really
like the finish and the fact I could go to huge tires if I wanted to
one day. I currently liv
A) Cyclofiend's site makes a great backup when looking for sizes, etc.:
http://www.cyclofiend.com/rbw/atlantis/index.html
B) The Hunq is a Riv, you'll be able to get the bars high w/ an Albatross,
too, I'd expect; no worries there, I don't think.
C) You can't go wrong w/ an Atlantis.

Okay, thinkin' a little more, scratch the Bombadil off your list if you're
wanting to stick w/ 700c wheels, as it'd be getting a bit tall. But for
your PBH, the others would work. I suppose, maybe the quote off the bottom
of the models page might summarize it:

Leslie makes some excellent points. You also may want to talk to
Grant/Mark/John, et al, about weight limits for each bike. I know the
Atlantis is built a little stouter than the Sam, but I doubt you exceed the
limits of either. Other than that and Leslie's advice about tire preference,

That's a pleasant problem to have: which Rivendell? I'll encourage
the Atlantis idea, since I have over 8 years & well over 30,000 miles

Forth utmost versatility, today I'd tell you to go for the Hinqapillar. You
cannot go wrong with the Atlantis either, but for higher bars, greater loads
and do it all, I just love my Hunqapillar a tiny bit more than I love my
Atlantis... Especially with Bullmoose bars...
I'm 5'11" and ride a 61 At
Make it simple.
I'd say make the choice based on tires. What are the widest tires you are
likely to use? If it's 2" tires, go with an Atlantis or a Hunq. If it's 45 mm
you can go with any of them except maybe the Hunq.
Then consider purpose. If you're going to load up and go on tour, probab
Allan based on your flickr set there is absolutely zero that is
"second hand" about your AHH - a really beauty

Recheck size though. My wife is 5' 10" and has a 61 Atlantis.. Rides great
..looks great...but then they all do.
