I want to give these pants a try but would prefer to buy used as a

I'm with you on most of that.I'd love a Simple One if the
tubing were thick enough (similar to the Hillborne) I have all the
parts for one except for the wheels. While not a fan of cantilever
brakes they would suffice. I also wouldn't mind something like a
Hilsen design, which if you ask me

Yup. Although I want to say it may be a 1983. Want to say the '82
still had Tommaselli brake levers.
That was the 2nd Stumpy I owned. After the first (1984 model) was
stolen. Miss it, but it was rusted away where this was is starting to
rust.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but I was not only able to set up two
different handlebar configurations with DaVinci splitters, I was able
to swap bars in 5 minutes, 41 seconds on the first try... This is

The Hennessey Hammock is a brilliant idea on a number of levels.
But there may be a problem with the older camper -- I am 63 -- finding
a way to be comfortable enough in one to actually get some rest and
even some sleep.
I suggest that you try one, if you can, before you buy.

I've done all the stuff David did plus one other... switched to
Specialized BG shoes. The have a varus wedge that cants your foot
slightly. This is intended to put your knee in a neutral position.
This made my recurring knee pain disappear.

and bottom bracket width, which in turn is dependent on clearance at the
