[RBW] Deore V-Brake issue on Hillborne

Hi! Building up my Hillborne, I tried to put Deore V-brakes on it. However, the Deores would not slide all the way down the brake post/ stud/boss/whatever. The pin which anchors the spring in one of the holes on the brake post did not fully insert into any of the 3 holes. Also, the front brake was

The one flaw with the Paul Racer brakes (I have a few sets) is that they require a bit of "extension" from the mounting points to clear the "lobe" at the business end of each caliper arm. Thus, one cannot slap on a nice set of Campagnolo brake holder/pads or an idle set of Koolstop Eagle Claw IIs

The Pari-Moto inflation range (as printed on the sidewall) is 55-75 psi. There is a picture of this on the Riv site in the Pari-Moto product listing. I don't know about the Cypres, but the Hetre max is also 75, and that is where I keep the rear tire with 10-15 psi less in the front. Dave On Jul

Ahh... well, it actually looks like you had the same "issue" I had. That is, there's a small amount of space between the brake itself and the place where the brake normally seats on the canti-stud. Maybe there's less on yours; I can't tell that closely. Sounds like it's not an issue for you. I may

That sounds kind of odd to me. I use a 107 BB with a Sugino and never had crank arm interference. Actually I've used three different Sugino triple cranks and one FSA square taper crank with the 107mm sized BB and no problems at all.
