You're not going to sneak an orange QB into your stable and pretend
that it's an old bike that's always been there. It sticks out like a
sore thumb. Trust me, I just tried it and got caught.

Maybe you can just keep it at work - I have one of those! Out of
sight, out of (her) mind. Or maybe you could build a secret panel in
your house like where Han & Co. hid in the Millennium Falcon?

Oops, not cosmic at all. Wrong Bill Rhea. But I do know a Bill Rhea
with a Rivendell. Small world.
But it is strange that your Rom broke in the same place as my Ram.
Good luck with the bike.

It's a money thing, but it would be painful. I'm trying to find a way
to keep one, which is preferable.
Thanks for all the info everyone. Besides my 59 Bleriot and unbuilt

Anyone have a Keven's bag seat bag (or similar) they're wanting to get
rid of? I put a Brook's saddle on my Salsa cross bike and the old bag
won't fit (and wouldn't look right anyway!). I have a sweet Velo-
Orange croissant bag on my Riv that is just a big too big for the
Salsa...
Thanks,

Per Sheldon, 26 x 1 3/8 (E.A.3) three speed size = 650a = 590 mm.
Harris Cyclery shows Sun CR18 and some Weinmann rims in stock in
650a. The Col del la Vie is available in 650a, and Schwalbe makes
several 590 tires in cluding one in creme.
Rims:
Atmospheric pressure is only 14.7 PSI at sea level. I'm sure most
tires can handle that much extra.

Very inspirational story! David, you're so right. So, I took a 60
mile ride today on the Romulus, and stopped in a bike shop to look
around and take a break. An employee said, "Nice bike - how old is
it?" Instead of saying "2003," I should have said, "Thrift store
find." That would help with m
Both sets of tires have been sold.
Thanks, everyone, for the interest!

Think about it guys - you've only got 1 atmosphere
If things get really tight, you can store it in an undisclosed location in
Orange County. I'll even pickup in San Diego, & give you a claim check.

Grant wrote in a Reader a couple of years back about creating a 603mm
BSD rim size designed mostly to allow 700c
Hello all,
I am a newbie to the site. I just received my above rack. It looks
wonderful and solid. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had the same
issue I am having. The top of the rear SKS fender, which I bought
here, hits the bottom of the rack. It is on the upper eyelet, and it

My Rambouillet was a "sneak in" purchase...so was the Atlantis come to
think of it...
I spent a couple of years working full time and going to business
school (dang near killed me but that's a different story). After
months of lusting over an orange Rambouillet I decided to purchase a
64cm frame

health. You want me to be healthy, right...?"
Coincidentally, I happen to have three nice bikes that correspond to the
gestation periods of my three kids...

Aha! When ordering at Riv I always have to tell them I'm "San Carlos"
Bill Rhea so as to not be confused with my (Portland?) doppleganger.
I've never met anybody else with my surname that wasn't direct family,
so it's doubly coincidental that my alter ego also rides a Riv
