I gave up on "sports drinks" long ago. On long rides, I'll usually carry a
bottle of water and a bottle of strong-as-death Irish breakfast tea.
Usually, for rides under 2 hours, I won't carry anything at all unless it

Yeah, diluted apple juice works too. Like I said, the V8 has been a
revelation but not something I want to fill my bottles up with. I'm hoping
to do Larch Mtn on Sat or Sun. If it's hot I'll probably bring a small can
with me in my bag and just drink
