I test fitted an M12 on a '83 Trek 850 and it would've taken considerable
bending to make it fit. The fork crown is also threaded on both sides, so
that also killed the idea of an M12 on that bike. Bike has clearances for
Schwalbe Super Motos (billed as 60mm, haven't measured actual) with room
The Nitto M12 bolted right up to my '88 Schwinn KOM, with 559 wheels and
canti brakes. I had to bend the arms very slightly for a perfect fit.
That said, you may have problems if your front fork is
"suspension-corrected", with lots of dead air above the tire.

Thanks for the offer but this is going on a 559 wheeled mtb and I think the
brake hole to canti-mount spacing is too long for the m12.
