I test fitted an M12 on a '83 Trek 850 and it would've taken considerable bending to make it fit. The fork crown is also threaded on both sides, so that also killed the idea of an M12 on that bike. Bike has clearances for Schwalbe Super Motos (billed as 60mm, haven't measured actual) with room for fenders, so lots of clearance. I guess my point would be the wheel size alone won't really dictate whether that rack will work or not. David Chicago
