hmmm this thread looks like a good place to ask. I recently put my 40/32 back on my QB and need to adjust the chain for my WI DOS (just 17/19). Does anyone have instructions for setting the chain-length? Is it possible on a QB to cover 8 up front and 2 in back in all combinations or should i

With two rings, the wider range in the back means LESS axle movement on gear changes. With fenders, you can set up a three tooth difference in front and back for zero axle movement. I like the Surly Dingle fixed cog with a 4 tooth gap front and rear; 17/21 x 44/40, for example. Philip www.biket

Bobby, I figured since the QB (and S1) come with a front range of 8 teeth, as long as I run them small to big and big to small, I could go with as much spread as I want in the back. So I went for the 16/19 Dos. Works great! So you could, depending on your need, get a good trail gear by replaci

I have a 16/19 here in Brooklyn with a 40/32. if you wanted to see that relationship in the flesh/steel you're welcome to have a look, or a roll if you can get a leg over a 68 quickbeam. -Kai -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.

Jason I talked with White Industries about exactly this (they are really nice on the phone). They have had a bunch of people try to go with one chainring and the DOS 16/19 only to find their dropouts weren't long enough and demand a refund. So, they push the two-tooth spread ones more aggress
