to me it is the Simple One after all. With the weakening dollar I
am surprised the price was held as long as it was. Glad I ordered mine
when I did.

it's about 82.6 cm at the middle of the tt, with Mara Racer 35c's pumped up to
70psi.
goes up to 84 as you slide forward.
so it's comparable with the QB numbers.
i was thinking 56 based on the charts, and was advised to go to 58 or even 60.
and per the site suggestion my pbh of 84.5 minus 2
Could you measure and report the mid top tube standover of your
simpleone explicitly? The quickbeam chart says 83 and 85 cm standover
for the 58 and 60 cm bikes respectively. In one of the rivendell
messages they said PBH minus 23 or 25 cm for the simpleone. That
would put you (and me) on a 60 c

I get it early in the week. A non derailleur bike is smooth and easier

thanks Matt - i felt the same way .. was first "eh" about grey green instead of

I gotta say, as someone who was kind of bummed when they decided not
to go with the original dark red color, the green is sweet.. solid
enamel-type colors always look good on bikes. Those cranks are
wicked nice.

Beautiful frame and color. Nice components so far, too.
Hopefully chain-length decisions for the Quickbeam translate over to
the SimpleOne.
The exact position is dependent on your rings and cogs. Basically, get
it close to the intersection of the stays, and you'll be fine. I aim
to put the axle a
Wow, that is beautiful! I had a deposit down for a 56 but after

Cool.I was really hoping to get mine in time for the weekend so I
had time to build it up. Looks like next week sometime. I have every
part I need and will have mine set up very similar to yours except
that I am using a Sugino crank with a 36 and 39 tooth chain ring and

thanks :)
two more pics added to that directory, now that i've got the drivetrain
together.
and speaking of color... i now need some touch up paint (used a hook spanner
instead of the WI bb tool).
anyways, this one shows the drivetrain, sorta:

Hi Andrew. If you are using two cogs with different tooth-counts on
your free/free hub, you need to make sure the chain length can
accommodate both cogs. The larger tooth cog will sit closer to the
bottom bracket along the track ends, and the smaller tooth cog will
sit further away, given the same
oh and no, i didn't have the wheels already.
called up Phil Wood right after i put the frame deposit down, and ordered
these.
even with a delay in getting silver colored rims from Velocity, Phil got me the
wheels pretty quickly, and they arrived on thursday with the frame arriving
friday.
just added two more pics to the directory:

the ones with numeric names are sans-flash.
the first pic shows the wheels - velocity fusion laced to Phil Wood free/free.

Do you have a pic taken without the flash to better illustrate the
color?

what size is that?
