OK, I completed my liner for my sackville rear trunk sack.
I used a 12" x 18" x 1/4" thick minicell foam sheet, which I purchased from
salamanderpaddlegear. It cost me $5 (plus shipping and a few paddle
supplies to round out the order.
Fits like it's tailor-made, and certainly takes the slac
Otter wax worked great.
The grid gray bags came out beautiful, waterproof and stiffer. As
expected, it left a sheen on the fabric.
The key is to not apply too much wax - the grid tries to grab it - use a
blow drier, and rub it in well with your fingers, per the instructions.

want to keep something cool. But also interested in improving the
weathering. Last time we got caught in the rain, I had just my front bag
mount
I too thought my Large Sackville rear bag lacked structure... so I simply
created a lightweight poster-board inner box for it.
I lost almost no capacity, and I kept it just small enough to allow the bag
to look "normal", while still not collapsing into a non-rectangle.
