Drew, I'd try polishing compounds, starting with the gentlest, toothpaste. Rub it on with a damp cloth, wipe with soft cloth. (actually, you could probably skip the toothpaste at go to:) Next up would be automotive cleaner/wax. If it says cleaner, it should have a mild abrasive. Finally, I

1. Shellac wears off of handle bars over time, so i would imagine if you leave it alone, it might wear off on its own. 2. Try rubbing with your spit and your bare skin or spit on a rag. Not kidding. Spit is used by art museum curators to clean paintings. It is the gentlest cleanser. -- You
