But don't look at a map and say, "Oh Fish Rock road looks like a good
way to get over to Hwy 128 from the coast", unless you are prepared for
one of the hardest unpaved steep up-and-down days of riding ever. I had
a bad map and didn't realize it would be dirt. It turned out to be a

Beth,
Mendocino is one of the nicest place to ride. You can start from

Take that all the way to Comptche. Take Flynn Creek Road toward HWY

head out Orr Springs to the coast, then down past Mendocino and Albion

Interesting area. I'd like to loop Orr Springs with Low Gap but after
having looked - it may be a bit ambitious given that it totals 45
miles and 6500' of climbing. Out on dirt, back on pavement? Is
Running Springs Ranch Road a public road? Is it paved?
Are there any other
Looks like Orr Springs Road alright. Eric, did you get to the descend
down to Orr Hot Spring resort and Montgomery Woods yet?
I love Orr Springs Road. After riding in the forest for about 5 miles,
there is another climb and descent coming all the way to the Town of
Comptche. From Comptche, Mendoc

Nice photos. New front bag? Looks good, what is it?
I've lived here all my life and California still amazes me in springtime.
Headed to San Francisco on Friday to start a coastal tour south. Getting
excited.

Nice --- bike, route, and leg musculature. What is that handlebar bag? And
what is the headlight? What gear do you use for an extended 10% grade? What
is all that green stuff?
