Why not go from minor to MAJOR MINDBLOWN?? Would LOVE to see a Carbonomas
fork, "Clem edition" for wide tires... Now THAT might even compel me to
pilfer a carbon fork at the local latte cafe on a Sunday morning...*

If these had been available when my LongLow's brake mount broke off, I
might have grabbed one. In fact, it's still tempting to get one, the
LongLow's fork blades are round, not ovalized, and clearance is really
really tight on larger tires (38mm is not happening at all), let alone
fenders...

Grab em while you can indeed. It calls them SimpleOne forks, so I presume
these are left overs from the sudden demise of that model shortly after
they became available. So as a corollary, if you have a Quickbeam or
SimleOne and like it at all, hang on to it. They are not likely to be
available
Dang. My franken-Raleigh would look fantastic w/ this fork. $125 is a
heckuva deal to boot. Only about 80 total available, grab 'em while ya can.
Best,
Eric

Haha! Grant does not believe in low trail. 40mm of thread means that
there are 40mm of threads cut on the steerer. So, looking at the medium
length fork, with a 218mm steerer, the threads go from 178mm to 218mm.
When you go measure on your 700c bike that you want to install this fork,

I think it means there are 40mm of threads (at the top of the steer tube)
with which to attach your headset.

It says "40mm of thread". Did they mean "40mm of trail"? And does that
qualify as low trail?
Nice fork:
Canti fork for maximum fender raising ability and easy rack mounting
through the fork crown.
Barrels and the double eyelets on the dropouts.
Maximum convenience for add-ons.
Too cool!

Yes you can run a caliper brake in that crown. 47.5mm of rake is a tiny
bit more than 'normal'. I think 45mm is the most common rake you'd see on
road bikes.
Measuring rake is pretty easy if you have the fork off and lay it flat on
the table. Measure how high the centerline of the s
