Thanks Philip,
You're absolutely right - the front brake is an Avid Shorty 4, and the tape
is Brooks bar tape.
When I want back to look at my original description, I realized I omitted
an important point -- there is a faint dent in the top tube. We bought the

This is a really nice Quickbeam. I was fantasizing about buying it as a home
for the Paul wheels and Avid Ultimates I have, so my existing 60cm green
Quickbeam could go back to its black kickback and dynamo wheelset, and I’d have
a fast road dingle Quickbeam to complement it. The only problem wi

Stephen,
I think that Romancüer looks sweet! I have a mustard 59 Romancüer, but the
rootbeer is just a great color and I love the way you built it up. Great job
and best of luck to whomever it goes to.

Daniel,
Saddle height is 68.5 in the photos.
One thing to be aware of given the concerns folks have raised about the
stem height -- the headtube is very short on this size frame, and if you
want to really lower the handlebar height, a short quill stem will be
necessary, which runs about $50 (
Hey Stephen,
Would you mind measuring the Crust saddle height in the posted photos?
Center BB to top of saddle along the seat tube.
Thanks much - this just might be my wife's size...
Best,
Daniel

I can see the stem is extended but that seatpost looks pretty good to me. How
low fo you think it should be? I think it’s the stem making the set up look
strange.
Good luck with the sale!

This just further goes to show that aesthetics matter to some, and not
others. Given the setup, anything short of sloping top tube would look like

It's a little more than a fistful of seatpost and bars raised where they
belong. Almost every bike I've ever owned looked like that!

Deacon Patrick - thanks! My wife and I have loved reading your Mudbeam

I was the rider. I usually ride a 48 Sam.
I agree, rando-style bikes look best with a slammed seat post. I never
thought the seat post looked odd on this bike, but you're right, it doesn't
look as good as the Quickbeam, which my much-taller-than-me wife rode.
As for the amount of exposed stem..
Beautiful Quickbeam — and all set for fixed! Grin.
Belopsky, the switch that translates raw thoughts in your head on their way to
your fingers is on the blink. May want to have that looked at. Next time try
saying nothing at all, or at least translate to “Wow, that’s a lot of seat post
and stem
the quickbeam is great
