One thing to be aware of given the concerns folks have raised about the stem height -- the headtube is very short on this size frame, and if you want to really lower the handlebar height, a short quill stem will be necessary, which runs about $50 ( https://www.benscycle.com/nitto-technomic-short-quill-stem-2/stem_nitto_technomic_870/product). If it starts to look like this bike might be something that your wife might be interested in, we can discuss cockpit changes/deletions/price adjustments to make sure the setup allows for a range of fit adjustments that would work for your wife.
