The repaint thing is an interesting mental exercise depending on the bike. A friend of mine is pretty adamant about how the life of a bike frame is finite and if you can extend that life by repainting it then it's a no brainer. Where it gets a little complicated for me is when I consider repainti

Joe, if that's your size (top tube is kinda' long for the seat tube, 51X54 is unusual), then it's a great find. Sometimes you just gotta' do it! If you can get a serial #, shoot it by Riv's direction and ask if they can give you any info. That should at least be able to confirm the builder and year

I'm not sure how far back Joe Bell paintjobs go, but those decals are definitely more recent than 95/96. The earliest Rivs had solid paint, the downtube decal was speared, and I don't think there was a seattube decal at all. There's a yellowish A/R recently posted here which shows this. On Tues
