The vague to completely non-descriptive post titles are really baffling.
There's too much to read in the world without having to sort through much
verbal chaff to figure out if I am interested in a posting. A thread title
should be like an email subject: it should give the reader an explicit

I will keep this in mind -- no reason not to do as you suggest except

I have to second this bit about the signature. Anything more than one line
seems excessive to me and really adds to the clutter of threads. I understand
reasons why people include them, but it seems like an inappropriate use of
space and in my mind it detracts from the content.

Also, some people's signatures and confidentiality statements take longer
to scroll past than quoted text.
I only use the web browser function for this group so I have no idea what

On the desk version, you can just select and delete any/all the quoted text
when replying. Unfortunately I have not figured out how to do this when on
a mobile device. It doesnt show the quoted text.
