Patrick, when you do a 650b conversion you lower the rims by 19 mm. Since the Racers go to 57-67, they should work on any conversion from 38 which is common for short reach brakes to 48. Standard reach brakes are usually 37 - 47. So if the brakes you have don't work I feel sure they are Race

Patrick- My '97 Riv Road should be essentially identical to yours. So, the Racer should have the correct reach. I assume you have the Racer Medium. You should be able to distinguish which model you have by looking at the Paul Components web site. FYI, mine will fit no wider than a 650 x 38 ti
