saddlebags for daily use actually practical as I don't have to spend 5
minutes fiddling with the leather straps whenever I want to take the bag on
or off the bike. It is truly an amazing design. I found, though, that I
needed
I went on a tour in the Alps with a Carradice and the saddlebag clamp, which
Riv used to sell. I think I had about 12 lbs of stuff and it worked fine.

Hillborne and it works well.

Purchased mine from Wall Bikes a year or so ago. Have had to tighten it up
periodically, but most of the time stays put. Mind you
These are closer to the old Cyclo design, but much better in having a
threaded back plate and (one hopes) much better screws. I'll buy some of
these when they appear.

Use the smallest hose clamps under the VO loops.
Also, when you are wont to complain about the VO loops, stop, recollect,
and think about the old Cyclo loops; and then congratulate yourself.
I made a perfectly acceptable bracket for mounting Carradice-type
saddlebags onto a modern-type saddle out

Jobst Brandt, in later years, had a bag carrier fabricated that looked like a
stoker stem from a tandem, clamped around the seat post and projecting back and
up over the rear wheel. At the far end was a T that provided a perch for the
mounting straps of the Carradice. It seemed to hold the bag

Hi all.
I'm going back to a Brooks Pro - at least for the time being - from a B-17
and want to attatch my saddlebag. However, the Pro doesn't have bag loops.
I've thought of trying a Nitto Grip, since I'll have to procure some sort
of attachment points. Although the grip looks splendid for tou
Hi!
Does anyone have any experience using the Nitto saddlebag grip with a *sprung*
Brooks saddle? I've never seen a sprung Brooks saddle in the flesh... but I
wonder if the Nitto saddlebag grip might be attached along the horizontal rail
connecting the springs at the bottom.
