Can't imagine why that would spin. I have two bikes with Shimano dynamos, no
problems. Anyways, I'm questioning someting that was said earlier, about
preferred locations for the connection. Is having the connector facing down
better for waterproofing? Seems like the cap would then become somethi
Matt:
Have you tried putting the old skewer back in?
FYI, one of my SP hubs is held in with a older-style QR skewer, the other with
a threaded type that requires an Allen wrench. No movement on either one over
thousands of miles of riding.

The vibration theory is really intriguing. I've rotated the connector around so
that it faces "down" as suggested and will see if it continues to move against
or with the hub rotation. I can confirm plenty of rough street input to the
fork as I commute, so if the road vibration is a driving fact

I have the same hub on two bikes, including my commuter, and I agree with
you that it can't be moved by force. I'm similarly flummoxed, and mine
never moves on its own. Maybe somebody monkeyed with your bike while it
was parked? Wanted to steal your front wheel, undid the QR, realized
I cannot help answer the question but would like to see more orange Atlantis

1. Open QR
2. Rotate the wheel so that the hub's terminal "outlet" faces the ground, then
re-close the QR. That way rain water drips off and doesn't get guided to the
outlet like it would when facing upward. Be sure to let a little bit of a wire
loop hang down for the water to run off. And , may
Eric, thanks for the reply. The quick release was my first thought as well.
I've made sure it's tight. I think the mark around the quick release axle nut
is due to this one being smaller in diameter than the last. This is the quick
release the Riv folks sent with the hub, it's quite nice. Th
I have SP hubs on two bikes, and have never had this happen. Are you sure the
quick release is tight enough? I'm not sure why the connector would rotate
backwards like this, but that's the first thing I would check.
I'm also concerned that your front wheel isn't sitting in the fork ends
