I spoke with Mark at Riv about a month ago re: ordering a Legolas. He said Mark Nobilette uses a mix of Columbus Zona and Life tubing and was A little lighter than his Roadeo. You can have the builder dent the chainstays for a little more clearance with 35 tires. 38 might fit the Legolas and

Dear Patrick, The Legolas was sprightlier than a Rivendell road standard of the same size. I think the builder told me it had a lighter top tube than any other Rivendell. It rode like a modern sporting bike, similar to a thinwall OS Waterford, but with bigger tire clearance and fender eyelets.
