A pipe wrench or "Channel-locks" are certainly better than slipjoint pliers!
(Sometimes you just gotta do what ya gotta do.)

told that to a copier repair person once. He laughed so hard he dropped
his screwdriver. Took

No LSB in 15 mile radius had the 32mm wrench required to remove the headset
nut. I had to remove it to install a cable hanger for my new Appa frame.
Knowing that it is a bad idea, I used an adjustable wrench. Sure enough, the
aluminum nut got a dent. Thought I'd put a new one. The LBS carri
