Hey Bryan,
Beautiful build! What is that back rack you have on there under the
saddlebag?

I just hope this is a success for Riv.
I hope they attract more attention, more customers, and pull in more of the
Almighty Dollar.
I hope the Sam returns, because I want one.
I hope Riv sticks around in case I smash my Hunq and need a new one.

I have a 54cm Hunqapillar w/ albatross bars. I'm 5' 10" and my PBH is
85cm. I've been riding 50mm and 55mm tires everywhere and I couldn't be
happier except that I miss having brakes at my fingertips when my hands are
forward on the bars.

Hi everyone,
It seems to me the original poster, grrlyrida, just needed a helpful,

I climbed on the bathroom scale with my Hunqapillar and the scale said
47lbs (minus the rider)! So I emptied my saddle sack onto the kitchen scale
and the contents came to 5lbs (maybe I don't need so many Irish straps?),
and I would guess the medium saddlesack is about 3-4lbs, since the the

Thank you Bill, I came to the same conclusion, but not being an engineer, I
thought I must have figured something wrong.
I'll bet there's a typo or mistranslation in there somewhere between the
Japanese and English versions of the instructions.
I think I'll be going with a longer M5 bolt, lock
I received mine this morning. It's a beautiful rack (pair of racks?).
The torque specifications for the M5 bolts have me puzzled though. I don't
understand the kgfcm/lbfft even after converting to Nm's.
If anyone can explain this to me I would greatly appreciate it:
*Bolt Torque Specifications
Does anyone remember what Riv said was the weight limit for these, I can't
find that BLUG entry.
Or was it posted in an email?
Thanks,
John Phillips

Hi,
Has anyone used a Tanaka decaleur? Know anyone who has? It looks pretty
easy to mount and rather adjustable:
http://store.somafab.com/tadeforth11.html
I would just like a little more info than what I could see on the Soma
website before I pull the trigger & buy one.
Thanks much,
John
Very elegant solution!
As you said, "Maavalus!"
I hope you don't mind is I order my own set in a different wood, but
nothing as "Maavalus" as your own.
Cheers, John
