The MB-1 was designed as an uncompromising racer so the geometry is

I did this with a hacksaw just yesterday! Should have done it your way,
pure laziness not wanting to leave the house & buy replacement Dremel parts.
For cutting you want their E-Z Cut system which has a nice quick release.
Use the "real" Dremel wheels as the quality of the cuts is so much higher
That's super nice, the 650b is the way to go & thank goodness for the
Tektro R559s for making these conversions possible. My next one (after I
sell the Bridgestone single-speed MTB) will hopefully be based on a more
touring oriented frameset where I will have to reach for the measuring
calipers

Thanks Joyce, I already have about 60 miles on it from last weekend.
Obviously there's some confirmation bias at play but (and apparently
BikesnobNYC agrees here) it really is an incredible ride. So smooth &
comfortable but also deceptively quick and handles beautifully.

Thanks! I'm thinking it would be fun to build you up something in a larger
size, I'll keep my eye open.

I called him out on it a couple of days ago. Snob, we all know what's
coming!

Yes, mine is the 50cm, good choice for my 81 PBH I think?
On a 650b I've most recently ridden the Kendas (like wood but not as
pliant) & the Soma/Panaracer Co de Vie (not bad), on a 700c the Panaracer
Gravel King (again, not bad). Now I promise to shut up after this, but
after the RH I'm never
I'm running the Rene Hearse Loups (650b) with tubes on my 50cm, now I
understand what all the fuss is about. They're fantastic & I'm sure the
rest of their range is of the same caliber.

I've bought from these guys in Japan before, service was excellent &

Thanks! Amazing how the early 80's (just pre-dayglo) grays are all the rage
again eh? That Univega looks lovely and I think you'll be fine with a 650b
around 28-32mm, remember you'll need the Tektro R559 calipers to reach the
rims though. You'll love the ride I guarantee it!
On Thursday, May 6,
I ordered a set of PDW Sodapop fenders last weekend and on Tuesday I got an
email apologizing for a delay in shipping (which I confess I hadn't
actually noticed) and refunding my shipping costs!
Good products AND good people. Spend your money with companies that care.

I use CRC Marine Lubricant which is basically the same stuff Blue Lug use;

You're not going to hurt the frame by doing it twice, when my non-prep
arrives (I'm jelly) I'll be using this too.
