Cables generally do fray if you try to use them again. After removing the
crimp, put some super glue on the end before removing them to prevent them
from fraying.

A helmet is never a bad idea. The pavement is hard whether you're in your
driveway alone or w/a a group. Most bike crashes are solo falls. Helmets

I've unscrewed the valve core w/the Lezyne pump head. So, if you do
tighten the valve core first, then only screw on the pump head 3 turns.
Tight but not too tight. It won't unscrejar the valve core. Most valve

I need some too. I called Tektro. They used to have a part# for the
springs b/c this is a weak spot in the manufacturing process. Look closely
and you can see an indention which seems to be a weak. I'm glad I'm not

I run the wire along the fork and have a ziptie - if I'm finicky I'd match
it to the bike frame. Not barber shop wrap. It's hidden and easy to

I love mine. If anyone has any questions or needs a test ride, please tell
them to come to Charlotte. I have a 55 Cheviot which is basically the
same. As well as a 47, 50 Betty and a 60 Cheviot. So the rider can see
many sizes for fit.
I can't tell you how much I love my Betty. Over 71,000

I can usually get my 1 1/2 in tire off w/out deflating it but I do pull
hard. Great idea to use the barrel adjuster too. Also I think the brake
has a little thing that adjusts too. But I generally don't need to remove
my wheels very often. I have Schwalbe Marathon Supremes so not many
flats
I tried a poncho but didn't feel like I could adequately signal. When it's
cold, I prefer the jacket/pants. When it's warm I like a jacket/rain skirt
with shorts. Next I'd like to cut the sleeves off a jacket and use a rain
vest or short sleeve jacket so I won't heat up too much. I'll go hal

Looking for recommendations for a bike rack for a Prius for my fendered
Betty. Lots of tray mount racks seem to not be made for fenders. And the
hanging style would need a bar since my Betty is a step through. This
isn't for my car. I don't like to drive. Thanks in advance.
