I have a 99 VW Eurovan Camper which does a great job of hauling two bikes
and two people.
Lots of bikers I know have Honda Elements. Two or three bikes easily fit in
the rear with two passengers up front. Too bad they stopped making it.

My Brooks Champion Special squeaks when I ride it. I had it off my bike for
a couple of years but I missed the looks and feel so I remounted it a
couple of weeks ago and for a while it was quiet but now the noise is back.
I hate noisey bikes. It is impossible for me to tell where the saddle is

I believe the mixte is otherwise known as Rivendell's First Lady's bike

Where are you measuring? I do not claim to know the correct way to measure
a tt but on my 68cm Atlantis the distance between the head tube and the
seat post is 59cm. The Rivendell geometry chart from the era my was made
says the top tube on a 68 was 62 and the tt on a 64 was 60 so I must be

Bicycle John in Burbank built both my Rambouillet (2X) and my wife's
Rivendell once. The staff there always seem to appreciate both bikes but I
don't think they offer any lugged steel frames or Riv-like components for
sale. I have also have had positive experience and reception at PV Bike in

I was just wondering if the couple on the deep red metallic Atlantis and the
Bleroit that my wife and I met today in Brentwood are members of this list?
It is always fun to run into other people riding classy bikes.

I have a VW Vanagon Camper and I can get both my 68cm Ram and wifes 65cm Riv
in the bike. I have a glider board on the back seat with fork mounts and it
works real good. Big bikes will fit into the back of a Honda Element with
both wheels on.

My wife is 6' and has a pbh of 90.5, I am 6'5" and my pbh is 97.5. Early in
2003 we both ordered Rivendell's. When Grant sent to design sheets to us he
included a note to me saying the bike he had designed for me was nearly
identical to a 68cm Rambouillet and if I wanted to switch my order my
