Just chiming in, as a 5'2" owner of a 47cm Saluki... (52cm effective top
tube on that, with a 72-degree seat-tube angle.) Set up as a traditional
road bike (although with a very short-reach stem, given that I have quite
short arms).
Also to say that my first Riv purchase was a 48cm first-gen
I say go for it if that becomes part of what she (or anyone) enjoys about
cycling. Lycra and dropbars and going fast and being crazy fit is fun, too!

Sofie, my better half and I took a trip to Riv last month. She has a 50cm Platy
and while there she rode the AAH, Sam, Charlie, and Clem. She is 5’7 but has a
PBH of 76. She fit well on the 51’s and has her heart set on a gold Sam. I
think the AHH and Sam felt so similar to her that it came down
Following for my 5'2" wife with 74cm pbh, who is currently making a 50cm
Bridgestone RB-T work with Jitensha bars for casual rides. 700c wheels on
that bike was a mind-boggling choice. I'd love to see her on a more
appropriate 47cm(ish) bike, with appropriate (i.e. not vastly overbuilt)

John, I thought Bill was ordering a custom, too...but it is actually the

The canti-roadeo sounds great and I wish you the best of luck with it. The
rear brake bridge is smart idea for canti's or CPs. Well worth the cost to
eliminates the cable hanger and all of it's problems. I'd vote for red
with cream head tube, just think a darker main color looks best.
