Agree on the Tektro 720's - that's what I ran on my Hillborne for the
longest time and they are great value. Good power, nice looks - my only
complaint was their spring adjustment side to side is a bit limited, but
that's not really a big deal.

Just a heads up for those waiting for a Nitto Hub Area rack. Rivendell has
them back in stock as of this afternoon. I've been waiting on one for a
long while - kind of assumed they wouldn't bring them back, but they did -
and I have one ordered.

Strange how few good options I'm finding FS here in the Bay Area right now.

good thing rivs are built for anything, even weather they've perhaps never
encountered in a 'normal' texas winter.

That's a super beautiful bike, Alex. Does it come with the cat?
Best of luck with the sale and the existential crisis that follows.
Cheers.

It's been a tough Winter in many parts of the country this year, but my

that state who post here regularly and I am sorry that you all are having
to undergo such extreme temperatures. Those of us in the Midwest are used

What brakes have folks gone with on their Sams? This will be the first
time I've built up a bike to spec, so it's new for me to have a choice. I
prefer cantis aesthetically, but probably can't afford Pauls so was looking
at the Dia Comps.

I know, it's a bit wild that I posted it for sale. We're moving so I've
been going through an existential crisis on materialism. This is quite the
experiment on how I feel before, during and (potentially) after the sale.
It's been an interesting ride in my head these past 24hrs

Thanks. I've been eyeing the Daija Far bar, only 44 cm at the hoods, but I

Philip,
On my upcoming dirt-drop build I already have a set of Woodchippers, but
I'd consider using these Nitto guys instead. I'll be running a Paul
adapter for a SRAM trigger shifter. The Woodchipper has a long 31.8
section so there's plenty of room to clamp the Paul shifter perch along
