Have a 58cm 2017 and a 57cm 2020 Appa and would like to point out that in
those years the rear clearance increased actual between the chainstays from
60mm to 70mm. The smaller frame is actually longer, by 1cm, so a 62.5 top

Yikes. I dithered a bit and missed the Henleys. I have a regular from the
first batch earlier this year(?), and I really don't need two, plus I
bought the vest. But I am a Henley guy, so if there are any Larges out
there that bought a Henley but secretly longed for the model that started

I was fortunate enough to slightly exceed my 5000 mile goal this year
despite a lot of disruptions and some nagging injuries—sitting at about
5500 right now.
For a brief period early in the pandemic I was on track to hit almost 7000
miles, but childcare fell through, and longer solo rides turn
My 2020 goal had been to put up a legitimately "big" year. My 'achievable'
goal was 10,000km, and my 'stretch goal' was 10,000 miles. I'm in the
phase of life where I want to remain fit enough that I feel equipped to
enjoy the next phase of life where I'm not working so much.
I did 200k bre
Well considered as usual Bill. Another advantage of the hydraulic setup is not
needing to order a tandem brake cable and hope it will make it all the way to
the caliper. The cable works fine for me, but probably because I don't have a
hydraulic setup to compare it to. Ignorance is bliss.

Hey all,
This might be a long shot but I'm looking to buy some polished Racer brake
set (not the M size, I need the big bois for a 650b wheelset). Also looking
for their skewers in the same finish. Need them center pull and in recessed
mount.
Will compromise for a set in silver if the price i
My goals are the same as 2020. I managed to get my 1275 miles this year
(actually made 1300 before taking the Sam down for maintenance), but we
didn’t get to bike the Canal du Midi. Something to look forward to in 2021.
I do need to thin the herd by two bikes, a Homer and a Team Fuji road bike
I'll be interested to see how this turns out. I'm not captivated by the
name, but I can always put tape over the decals. (*)
I'm curious what tubing they'll use; not that I sweat the numbers, but I
very belatedly (after 25 years of owning Rivendells) discovered that
thickwall OS tubing doesn't wor
Sorry to hear about the health issues. So far, have been lucky and my
health (other than weight) has been good. It's been one of those years
though, while my riding time was up to a modest approximately 1000 miles,
it meant that other things (playing and performing music) took a back seat.

Won't be fitting any of those 40 new Roscos either, but
Carl at Tuolomne Bikes indicated his rear disc is a captain brake and his
stoker gets to operate the rear rim brake. He says one of the reasons is
to delay the wearing out of the sidewalls of the rear rim.
I'm not super worried by the rim-wear part of it, but I think that would be

I think one key thing will be the dropout design. The draft copy says it
can handle a six tooth gap. That's what my Surly Cross Check could do with
careful gear selection, and it's forward facing horizontal dropouts are
much easier to live with than the rear facing track ends of the Quickbeam.
