I would guess that 8 speed is just old now and very few people are looking for
new 8 speed parts. How many different parts can you stock? With 5,6,7,8,9,10,11
speed drivetrains what do you stock and what don’t you stock? Over the years it
seems like 9 speed became the new “normal” for Riv and th

Hi Shojie, I forgot that V brake option. Its something I can check and
consider. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi Tim, I forgot that Tektro brake cable hanger at Riv’s site. Its
definitely another option so I can retain my Shimano CX50 brakes in the
front. I have bookmarked bag sellers you ment
I think the idea is that 8-speed shoppers at Riv are looking for a bargain, so
they carry one good/cheap one for them.
12-36 would be X'd out for exactly the reason you state: it's the popular one.
I'm sure they'll get more.

I have a VO New Rando 46/30 (with a new 42 in the bargain), but it's 175.

If you can pick up in San Francisco (North Beach), that's strongly
preferred. But if for some reason you're willing to pay for shipping, I'm
willing to pack and ship.

I’ve got 52cm from the tip of the Cambium saddle to center of handlebars.
68cm to the bend in the hoods on both sides. It’s great - as is, the saddle
and bar are level.

Another loss is the size of the images. They can no longer be enlarged just
zoomed in on. Personally I miss the larger images.

It's a long story I've already bored people with a few times, but the short
version is I was in a bit of a cash crunch during a chaotic summer. It's a
great bike and if I wasn't already invested in my upcoming Cheviot, I would
seriously consider buying this Appaloosa.
If you think it will fit
The reason why I asked for an actual measurement was for comparison to the
bikes that I ride now. So why did you sell your Appaloosa?

Thank you for the feedback. Compass shows discontinued and recommends Baby
Shoe Pass as replacements. Since I've been happy with the Hetres I put on
my first week of ownership I thought I'd stick with a good known solution.
I went to the Grand Bois site and put the tires in my cart twice but
You could always replace with Baby Shoe Pass from Compass Cycles (Bicycle
Quarterly) I thought Compass also stocked Hetres?

Looks like I need new tires and just realized these are apparently discontinued

Thanks.

I'm in the market for a new vest for commuting (and 1-2 hour rides). My last
vest was a synthetic kinda breathable number with a liner that has started to
disintegrate, leaving bits of plastic on my inner layers. For that reason I'd
to replace it with something like waxed cotton.

Sorry about the 404.
It's pretty much a moot point now though.
Joe Bunik cleaned me out except for the pedals.
The pedals will go to the recycling bin for bikes in El Cerrito.

I'm not clear why you need to actual tt measurement..it won't tell you anything
about reach. The best way to size an Appaloosa is by virtual horizontal tt,
plus a visualization of how much seatpost will show on a 51cm c-to-t seattube.
For reference, I have a 79-ish pbh and my 51 Appa fit great
