I find that it fits just right, if it is smaller than the basket it's so it can still fit while full. It sits solidly even over pretty bumpy terrain empty or full. The only kinda drawback I've found is when the bag is really full it can be a tight fit to access the front and rear exterior pocket

Michael, My experience is similar to yours. I've no experience with disc brakes. It took me a while to figure out how to set up the canti brakes on my Bombadil, but since I did they have been fine. I was one who voted for the SImpleOnes to get side/center/dual pivot brakes but I have no complain

Most use an oversized brake cable as a straddle wire, which needs to be set to conform to the straddle cable hanger, otherwise, it takes the first lever travel just to straighten the straddle wire.
