I don't think any of the "domestic" knickers are quite so sophisticated in
their cut, and quite as performance-oriented. It's like many of the
mainstream "classic" bikes, which go for the look of a classic, but not
necessarily get the performance right.

Coconut oil beeswax melted on the stovetop is what we use on all our
leather. 1:1, then tweak for your own preference (I like more beeswax than
coconut oil).

saddle and leather bar tape. Seems to work well. I don't know if there is a

Pair of Hetres for sale. Bought from Compass Cycles. Mounted on my Bleriot
and ridden for a very short time before being taken off and replaced by
Compass 38mm tires for better fender clearance.
Treads are great. Sidewalls look good and clean. No rain smutz.
Both have very thin, almost undetect
I use a reflective vest I got from Harbor Freight Tools for about $5. It's
the same thing highway workers wear and it really stands out.

Charlie Cunningham suffered a head injury (among other injuries) in a bike
crash. If you've ever felt the twang to thank Charlie for his visionary
contributions to cycling (particularly cycling off pavement), this is a
good opportunity to act on that twang.

Sorry to hear about the trials you're facing, Wayne. As someone who
chooses to live in BFE himself, despite the economic sacrifices of doing
