Thanks for that. Looks like the Bombadil is now "around $3500" according to
the RBW site, so the price of the Appaloosa makes sense.
(Unfortunately, it's likely made the prospect of owning one go from "want
but don't need" to "want but can't have"!)

Hi Jeff,
$3,500 is the starting price for a custom bike. If/when the Appaloosa goes
into production, it'll cost less. But probably not much less-- IIRC, the
Bombadil is available as a "semi-custom", and runs $3,000. The Bombadil was
billed as "spare-no-expense", whereas the Hunqapillar is the bu
I know this one's a leftover from the prototype run, but does anyone have
any insider intel on whether or not $3.5K will end up being the street
price for a production frame?
I'd bother Riv directly, but I'm sure they'd rather hear from somebody
who's got a credit card in their hand.

Seriously the ugliest bike ever.

The thing that caught my eye is that the invoice includes $295 for F+R paul
brakes, when you only get a Paul brake in front, and half of a $77 Tetkro
brakeset in back. Like you said, the person who's got the scratch can

Actually, it was a joke. In real life I'd have it painted as a snake.
That's a joke too, though it might be a stylin' modification, too.

There is lots of choice. Atlantis single top tube... Roadeo single top tube
AHH up to 67cm stt
The mud flaps are actually very functional and I like them better than the
heavy leather flaps I got from Peter white since they held shape and dragged on
grass less aggressively.

Personally, I like the double top tube and think it is a fine marketing
tool. Makes the bikes look different enough from other modern steel
bikes. (Surly, All City, Handsome, etc.) Don't like the diagatube
personally, but that is my own problem. Still somewhat regret not
getting a Hunq. But am
Looking to stealth camp. Never been there before. I'll be entering the park

First, my 60cm Ram had a 1cm longer seattube and a slightly shorter toptube
than my 59cm Roadeo.. The handling is so similar. I think because of the
Roadeo's slightly shorter chainstays and slightly lighter tubeset, the
