I believe anything officially labeled a LongLow is Waterford. When the full
customs started, there was no longer a need for model names because it was
whatever you asked for (within reason).

Well in a few days there will be at least one in my area because I just

I second that. I found them when I was quite a bit bigger. There are not
many companies that sell big sized cycling gear but they do at decent
prices. I have not worn much cycling gear lately but I think I may get some
of their touring shorts for the extra long rides. Their stuff is made in USA

it delivered last week, built by Rich Lesnik @ Rivendell. Nexus 7 with

Steve, you seem to be lost... looking for the "padless shorts" thread

Do you know of anyone making cycling bib shorts with minimal padding?
Maybe akin to the old leather chamois and nothing more? My Brooks B17
now fits so well I find padding to be a numbing nuisance on long
rides.

I'd be interested in riding the Acadia part. I've ridden the carriage roads
there before and they are awesome. You can ride the entire day and never
meet up with a car. Plus there's the Jordan House where they serve great
food with a wonderful view. If the dates line up I'd love to ride those

IIRC, the early(er) LLs were mostly canti brake as there weren't any new
production, dual pivot type calipers available back then. I suppose this is
a Waterford build?

It's been posted several times, which tells me someone should make an offer
he can't refuse. I'm surprised no one has snapped it up. Not my size,
unfortunately..

I'm sure many in this group don't regularly ride in cycling specific
clothing. For those who do, I'd like to recommend one manufacturer
that I've recently found. It's Aero Tech Designs, who make their
apparel in the U.S. at very attractive prices.
I'd received a recommendation for their bibshort
all in all a gorgeous bike. think the dented top tube, regardless how
small, may be a factor.

Seems to me it might be a matter of paint. Grant mentioned in that recent
interview that he was hoping to sell his new city bike for around $750,
unpainted. People seem to generally agree that it cost around $300 (retail) to
paint a bike. The Maxway Sam is $1000, so that makes perfect sense.

Excellent weather this year, not too hot, and a nice tailwind much of the

Yeah, on the 7spd cog choice... They seem to go to a lot of trouble to have
only 9 distinct cogs for the 7spd FW line instead of 10. That 17-21 jump is
weird on the non-"mega" 13-32 7spd FW.

Hey Matthew, as one of several Seattle Riv riders I can chime in. I
ride a triple Ram (26/39/49 x 11-26) and stay almost exclusively on
the 39 ring (but then I ride w/out a load). There is only one 30 yard
stretch on my normal routes where I need the 26 (coming off the top of
I-90 over lake WA).
