The thing that is kind of a pain in the backside is that with the E6
is that you need 2 lights so there's all the wiring that goes with
that. The new generation LED dynamo lights only need one light so
that simlifies things somewhat.

If your riding style is more like an extension of hiking (mellow, stop and
smell the sagebrush) as opposed to some version of motocross (blasting
across the landscape), your unlikely to break a Riv even if you're on the
high side on weight. Get enough tire and ride sensibly and no worries.

and less often these days).
I imagine the new-ish Tektro R538 (RBW calls it the Big Mouth 57)
brakes will solve it, likewise with the Paul Racer center-mount
version.

Having listened to the debates about the advantages of dyno power over
rechargeable power, I built up a Schmidt system myself, only to sell it a
few months later because rechargeables were much better for my own needs
(and a heck of a lot cheaper, too). So, I'm curious why you are selling
yours?

I've found JB's to be more durable and get twice as many miles on
them as I have with the Grand Bois.

From what you say, the AHH really sounds almost perfect. I doubt you
would break it.
If you can afford it, its probably worth the extra money compared to
the cost of a Hillborne that you could probably set up right.
