Hi Guys,
I noticed this in the FAQ:

"banner", "route1" etc
By Default Ascend MAX wil try to configure itself at startup by asking for
various configuraiton items from the Radius server.

Hi,
I am trying to get differing ranges of IPs allocated to two
different sets of clients.
I have this in my cfg:
Secret x
NoDefault
IgnoreAcctSignature
FramedGroupBaseAddress 203.1.1.1
FramedGroupBaseAddress 203.2.2.2

Does that apply to a Max 1800 as well?

Sorry, this problem was eliminated by glibc update.

Hi Hugh,
Ok, here's an open plea to anyone that knows how to turn it off on
a Max 1800, please yell out :)
Thanks

Hi Hugh,
Trace 4 shows that the wrong IP address is being presented at the
NAS:
Jun 7 11:06:33 contender /usr/bin/radiusd[588]: Adding session for
[EMAIL PROTECTED], 216.252.212.131, 20102

Hi,
I need to convert plain text dates to linux timestamp format, can this
be done manually?
I'm manually entering data into the mysql database and it seems as
though the dates are stored in timestamp format
eg: 959125652 is stored rather than a readable date, however this seems
to convert to 05/2
OK ... I've somehow got strict turned on by default. Happened when
I added all the CPAN stuff.
I assume that just adding "no strict" to radiusd and radacct.cgi won't
completely cure it.
How the hell do I remove strict as a default behavior? Can't find it
documented anywhere ...
Thanx

The correct syntax for using the FramedGroupBaseAddress aproach is this:

Hi Hugh,
Using FramedGroup 1 in the cfg produces exactly the same
results. ie wrong IP allocated (the NAs allocates from the pool
instead) and the logfile does not show any attempt to allocate from the
group 1 pool.
