Re: [R-SIG-Mac] Arm 64 Nightly Build URL Missing

Hi, In addition to the missing link described below, it looks like the nightly build tar.gz has not been updated since 2023-10-30.  This corresponds to the build log[1].  The x86-64 version seems to have a much more recent version (2024-01-19).  I have other methods of running R-devel so this i

Hi, For some reason the URL in the nightly builds[1] table for the arm64 tar.gz is missing.  The actual tar.gz is there if I start with the x86 URL and modify it, but it is an older version r85331 vs r85355.  Not a big deal at all on my account, just an FYI. Thanks for all the hard work of kee

In case this has not been noticed, the x86_64 builds on mac.r-project.org are showing errors.  This is the error from 4.1: Testing examples for package 'base' Warning in file(out, "wt") :   cannot open file '/var/folders/2b/t0kwbtmn3p7brv2mvx39c9crgn/T//Rtmp4ZevDn/file1399b189e156f/chol2inv.R

[R-SIG-Mac] Testing R4.0.5

I was looking to test the R4.0.5 binaries from mac.r-project.org, but it seems that the R-4.0-branch items are actually 4.1 r-devel, currently.  I am not super familiar with these as I only recently started using them, but IIRC at least when I was testing 4.0.4 I seem to recall being able to just u

I just installed the 4.0 patched binary, and noticed that it is still at 5/24 (i.e. pre Beta, although I'm guessing that's a minor distinction).  3.6 was updated yesterday.  Since I'm not too familiar with this process yet, what kind of update schedule should I expect for these binaries? Best,

At Peter Daalgard's suggestion, I'm moving a thread about compiling / obtaining R-devel or R-alpha/RC OS-X binaries for OS-X to this mailing list.  As per Kylie Bemis it looks like nightlies are already produced at http://mac.r-project.org/ and the updated compilation instructions http://mac.r-
