In an attempt to isolate my issue I moved spamassasin to another server. Doing
this did not help and the same issue occured again.
Any ideas?

I have been fighting with qmail-scanner for the last couple of weeks
trying to track down an issue I am having. It seems that randomly (about
every 24 hours, but often less than 1 or greater than 48) the mail system
comes crashing down causing messages to repeatedly requeue.
