May not help, but what do your qmail-send, and qmail-smtpd logs say, if
anything?
Also, how about setting DEBUG="1" in qmail-scanner-queue.pl... Does
/var/spool/qmailscan/qmail-queue.log give you any other clues?

Hi, I'm running RH linux 7.1, perl 5.8.3 compiled from source, patched
qmail-1.03 (just the recommended patches), qmail-scanner 1.21, clamav
.70, and SA 2.61
I have been using suidperl for qmail-scanner, but would like to ditch it
if possible for the new version 1.22, but my perl 5.8.3 binary s
I cant find that error message in the regular perl src for 5.8.3, but i
did find this patch file on the web for 5.9.1 - is your suidperl binary
setuid root, as well as qmail-scanner-queue.pl?
