Wait a min. I was wrong about the qscand. But look at this.
This is from your email:
Into log I retry this:
--output of clamscan was:
/var/spool/qmailscan/tmp/godzilla.mizasol108397543447930637/1083975436.30642
-0.godzilla.mizasol:

/var/spool/qmailscan/tmp/
qscand isn't right. As far as the file perm they're right. That was from the
old 1.1X
I pretty sure it got changed to qmailq at least that's mine 1.20 (I know I
changed it when I upgrade from 1.16)
Double check the install user accounts. I'll have a look at mine too.

Just to let you all know how I got on with this (And for a little advice!)
My aim is to create a variable for the local-domains field so I don't have
to reconfigure everytime a new domain is added.
So far, I have added the following to qmail-scanner-queue.pl.
open(LIST,"/var/qmail/control/rcpth

Login as somebody other than root.
And run /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner.pl -g
If this fails (I bet it will) this is your problem.
Your problem is still that root owns the files. Q-S is running as root.
Mumble mumble
O.K.,
