No run the last test of the installMumble mumble ....
Login as somebody other than root.
And run /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner.pl -g
If this fails (I bet it will) this is your problem.
Your problem is still that root owns the files. Q-S is running as root.
O.K., I run qmail-scanner-queue.pl -g .... This is a output .... [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# whoami root [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# su clamav sh: /root/.bashrc: Permission denied [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]$ whoami clamav [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]$ /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl -g perlscanner: generate new DB file from /var/spool/qmailscan/quarantine-attachments.txt perlscanner: total of 9 entries. [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]$
A doubt comes me.... Qmail-scanner, during configuration, don't find suidperl .... .... in fact into auto generation script appear #!/usr/bin/perl -T
Is possible my system have a bad version of suidperl (ex: bad file permission ....) -rws--x--x 2 root root 61108 mar 6 2003 /usr/bin/suidperl
This is a output processes during email-scanner .... qscand 1022 0.0 2.4 14120 12816 ? S 15:55 0:00 clamd -c /etc/clamd.conf qscand 3431 11.3 0.9 7204 4868 ? S 16:27 0:00 /usr/bin/suidperl -T /dev/fd/4//var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl qscand 3439 0.0 0.1 2068 972 ? S 16:27 0:00 sh -c /usr/bin/spamc -f -u "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" < /var/spool/qmailscan/working/new/godzilla.mizasol10840264724793431 qscand 3440 0.0 0.0 1880 436 ? S 16:27 0:00 /usr/bin/spamc -f -u [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Appear that qmail-scanner-queue.pl process run under qscand ....
Me the head is being broken off! :-)
Bye,
Enrico
