18k sounds abnormally large. 2k sounds right
Ok, that seems to have done something, or at least the tcp.smtp file
didn't disappear. It did, however, shrink considerably in size. The
former one was like 18K, and the new one is a scant 2k. Sound normal?

Typical Bernstein verbosity in the great Unix tradition...

No, that's not normal. Did you accidentally
Thanks Keith, I appreciate the sanity check on that. Since I've got
vpopmail installed, my path is /home/vpopmail/etc/tcp.smtp (that's the
only place I can find that file, anyway).
I did what you said to, and it just returned me to the prompt. It also
removed the tcp.smtp file altogether, so I

I couldn't find a concise answer to this in the documentation or
scanning the list. If this isn't appropriate for the scanner list,
please let me know.
System: RH7.2, Qmail 1.03, qmail-scanner-1.15 (pretty much the Shupp
toaster, God bless him!)
This mail system is on a NAT'd network (10.x.x.x),
Whoops, looks like I have another question for the list. When I first
installed qmail-scanner, the qmail-scanner-queue.pl file was generated
by a ./configure process. I want to change the domain name in the
"from:" areas. Can I merely edit this perl file, or does it need to be
re-run from the

the features I think is nice is the quarentine. We have a mailbox that

it woudln't have to sift through all the crap to get to the real email
Thanks to everyone for the help! I finally got it working. It was softlimits and a
combination also of
some setup problems with vpopmail. Thanks so much again! I really do apperciate it!!!

Hello all!
When I run the command “qmail-scanner-queue.pl –g” on my system, which is running qmail with qmail-scanner 1.15,
I get the following reply:
>> [root@qmail1 bin]# ./qmail-scanner-queue.pl -g

Hi;
Sorry, I don't really understand what you're trying to explain. I did
notice a daemon client in the contrib directory but there isn't anything
in the way of documentation on how to implement it into qms. And what
is AvpTeamDream? If you perhaps have some more detailed instructions
(Or if an
