After I encountered a problem with the temporary files, I found a work
around for my original post: "remember paths in APBS plugin on Ubuntu 14.04"
(I noticed that the plugin worked for me, but not for a second account on
the same PC. The problem was that the temp files were written by

I have installed the (latest) Pymol recently as described here:

After this, I installed pdb2pqr via
sudo apt-get install pdb2pqr
(sudo apt-get install apbsreturns that apbs is already installed,
probably with pymol)
