Dear all,
After I encountered a problem with the temporary files, I found a work
around for my original post: "remember paths in APBS plugin on Ubuntu 14.04"
(I noticed that the plugin worked for me, but not for a second account on
the same PC. The problem was that the temp files were written by me, but
the other account did not have permission to overwrite these.
When looking at the temp file locations, I noticed the comment about the
TEMP variable. So I set an environment variable)
This is what I added to the .bashrc
export TEMP=/home/student/tmp (only needed for me to have own dir for
student)
export APBS_PDB2PQR_DIR=/usr/share/pdb2pqr/
(same applies to psize.py if you want to use this)
The variable names are listed in the apbs_tools.py
update bash by typing 'bash'
Now the program locations are added to the pymol apbs plugin.
Hope this is helpful for some although probably not a clean solution...
Best wishes, Tobias.
